The gem mining on the mythical planet is in full swing. Scaffolding hundreds of meters high encircles the entire mountain, enabling miners to reach even the most challenging spots. Suddenly, the misty haze hovering just below the peak disperses sharply, revealing an unknown spaceship landing. Without hesitation, its passengers seize control of most of the mountain and claim the mined materials. The roar of the engines shakes the surrounding landscape as the ship begins to lift off slowly from the surface. A powerful blue flame engulfs the scaffolding, burning much of it to ash, leaving behind unmistakable colorful traces.”🚀

These also were the client’s requirements for designing a shelf for a hotel bar. The story draws inspiration from a sci-fi computer game he once worked on. While we didn’t have access to a spaceship, we improvised with a more accessible gas burner. The shelf’s construction and shape are deliberately reminiscent of scaffolding, with large sections charred and painted in a ‘cosmic blue’ hue.🔥
